Rules

Please note: There is a limit of four (4) entries per person in this competition.

This competition is sanctioned by the BJCP/AHA and open to any amateur homebrewer who resides in Colorado and is 21 years old or older. Entries from non-Colorado brewers will be judged. However, they will not be eligible for any medals or awards.

All entries must be received at the shipping/drop off location by the entry deadline.

All entries must be homemade products, using ingredients available to the general public, and made with private equipment by home brewers (i.e., no use of commercial facilities or brew-on-premises operations, supplies, etc.).

The competition organizers are not responsible for misclassified entries, entries not received by the entry deadline, or entries that arrive damaged.

The competition organizers reserve the right to combine styles for judging and to restructure awards as needed based on the quantity and quality of entries. Entries will be reviewed prior to check-in to ensure appropriate classification according to the 2021 BJCP Style Guidelines. If an entry is deemed misclassified, it will be reassigned based on information provided by the entrant. If reassignment results in a brewer having multiple entries in a subcategory limited to one entry per entrant, the reclassified beer will be disqualified.

Qualified judging of all entries is the primary goal of our event. Judges will evaluate and score each entry. The average of the scores will rank each entry in its category. There will be at least one BJCP judge in each flight.

Brewers are not limited to one entry in each category but may only enter each subcategory once.

Categories may be combined based on the number of entries at the discretion of the competition committee. Every effort will be made to combine similar styles. All brews in combined categories will be judged in the style in which they were originally entered.
